American Spirit 2009

This month, September 2009, one of my political satire paintings made it into a juried show at the Cincinnati Art Galleries in downtown Cincinnati. The gallery is located at 225 East Sixth Street. The painting, done in acrylic on canvas board, is titled MOTHER & CHILD: LEVEL PLAYING FIELD OUT THE WINDOW and is shown in the above photo. The exhibit will run from Sep 12 to Sep 30. The Sunflower Paintings Are Coming

There is a project going on right now, but this project is a far ways from the finish line. As the project gets off the ground, so to speak, I will post photographs of my progress. I am putting my political art away for a while. I am moving on to sunflowers. Many artists have painted sunflowers, and since I have planted and grown a patch of sunflowers, I have decided to do a series of paintings with sunflowers. Everyone likes sunflowers. Now I just need to find a few people with an interest in sunflowers, sunflower paintings and money to spend on my sunflower paintings. This series of paintings is for sale, and will be posted on this blog in the future.
