Portraits of Obama

I think these two portraits are finished.  Soon, I will start making the frames for these 2 pieces.

Altarpiece in Progress

I haven't finished this piece.  I have taken a break from it and will return to it later to finish the painting of the flags inside the circle.

Fish, Butterfly & Cigar

This piece was based on a sketch I made on the back of an envelope several years ago, and that I found while cleaning my house.  I had a piece of half inch plywood 12" x 18" and decided give it a go.  The above painting is that go.  I made patterns from cereal box paper and then place the objects on the board  until I liked the composition and then I went to work.

A Few New Pieces From My Summer 2012

The top piece, Altarpiece No, 2,  is a construction and made of half inch birch plywood, popular and pine.  The paintings are done in acrylics.

The 2 middle pieces are constructions of the same materials as above, and are painted with acrylics. The one on the left is Mother & Child: An American Icon; and the piece on the left is Level Playing Field with Butterfly and Sunflower.

The third piece is My Coat of Arms with Three Butterflies, painted in acrylic on half inch birch plywood.

This is what I have accomplished with my summer so far and I am still working.
