Great American Artist - F. D. Zigler Part 2.

Here are some paintings I have been working on the last week. These are done on envelopes in acrylic paint. The self portrait has been worked on since I last posted this piece. The top painting includes a few of the icons that I place in my paintings. The Level Playing Field, Mother & Child and the butterflag.

Great American Artist - F. D. Zigler

I am still working on this self portrait, but I nevertheless thought it was a good time to remind everyone that they are viewing the artwork of a Great American Artist. Most people in Cincinnati don't know this, and only a very few of my friends believe in the validity of my work. So, since 2 of my paintings were recently rejected by the judges of The Golden Ticket Art Show in 2011, I thought it necessary to blow my own horn. The nicest thing that was said to me when I told an artist friend that neither the Bush 43 Stamp or The Altarpiece (case only) were accepted was that that meant my artwork was moving in the right direction.

Unfortunately this piece is too big for the art show I had in mind to enter the Altarpiece. Perhaps I will just hold onto it for a while and see what happens.
